During the French Revolution, anyone who spoke out would be executed and this woman, along with a man, were decapitated and their bodies were used in a grotesque puppet show.
She can be seen in Sandman # 29, on page 12. There is a small crowd standing in front of the stage watching the puppet show with this body.
