While sleeping in his cell, he was visited by his sister Nuala, who lived and worked in the Dreaming. She promised to get help for her imprisoned brother.
Morpheus visited Cluracan in prison. He explained that Nuala asked him for help and he reluctantly agreed to help him because he would not like to see Nuala needlessly distressed.
He released Cluracan from his bonds and opened the iron door to the cell. This guard was one of the palace guards in the hallway who did not witness Cluracan’s liberation and escape.
This guard appears in Sandman # 52, on page 19, in panel 4.
