Angel # 2 (illustrated by Max Rugers)

In the beginning there was the breath and with that breath the silver city and its inhabitants were born.

This Angel is one of the angels who live in the Silver city, which is not paradise or heaven.

He can be seen in Sandman #24, page 14, in panel 2.

Originally I thought this was either Remiel or Duma, but they do not have the same features and their clothes are different. Because of this I am assuming that they are random angels.

Max did a great job with this portrait. I like the contemplative pose of the character. The overall portrait is darker than in the published comic, but I think that this works really well with the character and the heavenly host. I really like this portrait!!!
