Dead Man # 51 (illustrated by Lars Brown)

When Orpheus decends into Hades to rescue Eurydice, he encounters many dead men and women lingering throughout the underworld.

This man is one of the many dead men who appear in The Sandman Special.

He appears in The Song Of Orpheus, page 33, panel 2.

I like this portrait from Lars. It’s nice to get an alternate perspective of one of the dead people. I like that he appears to be a little emaciated and that you can see the knots of his spine along his back.
