Bus Passenger # 2 (illustrated by Lars Brown)

In London in June 1920, the news of John Hathaway’s suicide spreads through the city. Young boys are selling newspapers with headlines questioning his mental health and asking questions of the mysteries surrounding his death. The streets are bustling.

This man can be seen sitting on a bus, which is driving down these busy London streets.

This bus passenger appears in Sandman # 1, on page 14, in panel 1.

This is a pretty funny portrait from Lars. I think it’s really funny that this man is drinking tea while on the bus. I really like that this character is wearing clothes that seem appropriate to 1920’s England.
