Cluracan falls asleep and visits Nuala in The Dreaming. He asks for her help, but she is powerless to assist him. Instead she says that she will seek help for him.
Dream visits Cluracan in prison and says that he reluctantly will help him with his dilemma. He releases Cluracan from his chains and from his cell. As they leave the palace, they pass several Aurelian Citizens.
This Aurelian Citizen appears in Sandman # 52, on page 19, in panel 4.
