In London in June 1920, the news of John Hathaway’s suicide spreads through the city. Young boys are selling newspapers with headlines questioning his mental health and asking questions of the mysteries surrounding his death. The streets are bustling.

This man is in a car that is being driven down the bustling street. He is in the back seat of the car.

He appears in Sandman # 1, on page 14, in panel 1.

Lars did a fantastic job with this portrait. I like that he placed this character in the back seat of a car because it absolutely represents this character in the published comic. I also really like that there are “speed lines” as they drive.
