Onmyoji’s Demon Servant # 16 (illustrated by Kai Martin)

The Onmyoji was afraid, and the fear drove him to seek forbidden knowledge in hopes of driving out that fear.

It did not work, and potentially caused even more fear.

In the outskirts of his city there were three women who loved in an old run-down house. The one of the women was young, one was old and the third was neither young nor old. He visited these three women to seek advice on finding peace and a release from the fear. They provided him with a way to gain the strength of a monk in the mountain who feared and desired nothing.

The Onmyoji had to perform a ritual in order to kill the Monk, but needed some personal objects of the monk in order to complete the rite.

The Onmyoji sent his demon servants into the mountains in order to steal a few items that the Monk had touched.

This is one of the demons who was sent to gather the belongings of the Monk.

He appears in P. Craig Russell’s Dream Hunters # 2, on page 12, in panel 6.
