Japanese Man # 22 (illustrated by Anna Hybsier)

The Onmyoji wandered the streets, homeless and crazy after the Fox took her revenge on the murder of her lover, the Monk.

This man is one of the many people who passed the Onmyoji by as he sat on the streets in rags

He appears in the P. Craig Russell adaptation of The Dream Hunters in issue # 4, on page 27 in panel 2.

Anna’s use of watercolor is perfect for this character. I love the blue used for the background. It helps highlight the Japanese Man. I love his hat and the shadows around his face. It’s details like that that are often taken for granted, but they impress me and add a lot to the portraits, in my opinion.
