Greek Citizen # 3 (illustrated by Max Rugers)

As people gather for the wedding of Orpheus and Eurydice this woman can be seen talking with a Greek man near one of the temples.

She appears in The Sandman Special # 1, “The Song Of Orpheus,” on page 3, in panel 1.

I like how Max approached this character and I like the colors he chose. The grays and whites used for the character definitely give it a classical feel to the portrait. I think it reminds me of the Greek statues I remember from visiting the Louvre.
