Auralie

I tried to find out more information about Auralie and her character within the DC Universe, but unfortunately there's not a whole lot out there. All that I was able to discover is that Auralie was an orphan and that she was an escapee from the Female Furie Training Division on Apokolips.

She was also Scott Free's first love.

I must say that Scott did a fantastic job with this portrait. I think this is easily my favorite portrait of the 349 portraits he's done so far.

Here is Auralie.

Burgess' Guards # 3 & 4

Here are two more of the guards who worked for Alex Burgess and looked over the captured King Of Dreams.

These two guards were employed by Burgess in 1972.

I particularly like Guard # 4.

Joey Campbell

While Dream battles John Dee for control of the ruby the world experiences a night of horrific events and catastrophes.

Joey Campbell is one person who faces tragedy.

Some children spray oven cleaner in his face, which burns out his eyes.

Demon # 20

We haven't done any demons in awhile and so I thought it might be nice to share this little guy.

This demon is one of the many demons trapped in The Globe Of Sulaiman Ben Daoud, which Haroun Al Raschid threatens to shatter if Dream did not appear before him.

Alex Burgess

*** SPOILER WARNING ***

Alex Burgess is the son of Roderick Burgess, the "Daemon King" and head of the Order Of Ancient Mysteries.

Alex was a child when Dream was captured in a ceremony intended to capture Death.

When his father died in 1947, Alex took over the Burgess empire and continued to keep Dream imprisoned.

In 1988, Dream escaped his prison and as revenge for holding him captive he gave Burgess a "gift" of eternal waking, in which he would remain asleep, but in a constant state of dreaming and waking up only to discover he is still within a dream.

Burgess slept for more than five years and awoke only when Dream died and he was released from Dream's retribution.

Burgess' Guards # 9 and 10

Here are two guards who watched over Dream, as he was kept in his glass prison.

These two guards were employed by Alex Burgess in 1968.

Scott did a fantastic job with these characters although he made them look a little nicer than how they appear in the comic.

I hope you enjoy them.

Compton

Compton was the butler for Roderick Burgess in 1916.

Compton greeted John Hathaway when he delivered the Magdalene Grimoire to Burgess prior to the ritual that captured Morpheus.

Compton holds the distinction of being the third character to appear in the Sandman series.

I really like Scott's portrait of Compton. He looks like a cross between a butler and a magician, which I think is appropriate due to the reputation of his employer.
