Compton greeted John Hathaway when he delivered the Magdalene Grimoire to Burgess prior to the ritual that captured Morpheus.
Compton holds the distinction of being the third character to appear in the Sandman series.
I really like Scott's portrait of Compton. He looks like a cross between a butler and a magician, which I think is appropriate due to the reputation of his employer.
