Plague Victim # 3 (illustrated by Max Rugers)

In Brief Lives, Delirium decides that she wants to look for her missing brother, Destruction.

She asks Desire for help, but she refuses. She then asks Despair for help, who also refuses to assist her.

After Delirium leaves her sister’s realm, Despair walks through her world of windows and remembers one of the last times she saw her brother.

Despair visited the London in 1665. She walked the empty streets, seeing corpses lying in front of doorways, the people having died from the plague.

Destruction visited her on these streets. They talk about the plague and about the increasing amount of war. Destruction tells Despair that times are changing, but Despair disagrees.

This woman is one of the plague victims witnessed by Despair.

She appears in Sandman # 41, on page 21, in panel 4.
