Did orders a bagel with lox and cream cheese and a glass of orange juice. Sexton orders scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. The waiter asks if Didi wants the cheap lox or the best stuff and comments that he wouldn’t bother eating the cheap stuff. Didi, of course, asks for the best.
The Eremite finds Didi and Sexton in the restaurant.
When the waiter seeing him, and thinking he is a homless person, interrupts and asks The Eremite to leave. He escorts him outside.
The waiter comes back and apologizes to Didi and Sexton. She thanks him for making him go outside.
Once Didi and Sexton finish their breakfast the waiter let’s them leave through the back door and when Didi offers to pay he tells her that it’s on the house because, as customers, they should not have been harassed by The Eremite.
Sexton thanks the waiter.
The waiter appears in Death: The High Cost Of Living # 3, on pages 10-12.
