Village Soldier # 4 (illustrated by Carl Sciacchitano)

In the Desire story in Endless Nights, Kara was in love with the son of the chief of the village.

The Chief and a group of village elders tried to negotiate grazing rights, for amber and for the ransom of prisoners between their tribe and the folk from across the river, but negotiations went badly and ended with the death of the village chief.

Kara went to the coastal town to retrieve the son of the chief.

When they returned to the village the funeral revels began, taking three days to complete. Once the funeral was complete the chief’s son became the new chief.

This village soldier stood beside the throne of the new chief during the funeral celebrations.

He appears in Endless Nights, in the Desire story, on page 12, in panel 1.
