Book Release Party Guest # 20 (illustrated by Max Rugers)

This man is one of the guests who attended the book release party for Richard Madoc’s book “And My Love She Gave Me Light,” which was released in May 1987.

He is standing in the back of the room, in the upper left corner.

This man appears in Sandman # 17 on page 12, in panel 1.

This is a fantastic portrait from Max. I like the shapes that he used for this character’s face. He has a very unique look, which I definitely appreciate, since this character is a very minor background character. Max definitely gave him personality and features more prominent than the “blob” that he is in the published comic.
