This man is one of the many characters who has Despair’s hooked ring snagged into his heart.
He can be seen in one of Despair’s mirrors in Sandman # 49 , page 9, panel 5. He is on the left.
Max did a wonderful job with this portrait. I love the torn up bits of newspaper added to this piece. It’s really a nice touch.
He drew a rough sketch on the back and so I am including that as well.
