Faery # 58 (illustrated by Max Rugers)

This Faery is one of the faeries who attended the first performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on June 23rd 1593 in Wilmington, England near The Long Man of Wilmington (also called Wendel’s Mound by Morpheus). \

This Faery appears in Sandman # 19, on page 7, panel 2.

Man # 9 (illustrated by Carl Sciacchitano)

After seeing Foxglove play at The Undercut, Didi and Sexton follow Theo who promises to take them to a “lot cooler” party.

As Theo walks ahead, Didi and Sexton talk about Disney movies and about happy endings.

This man is walking behind then as they walk through the crowded New York streets.

He appears in Death: The High Cost Of Living # 2, on page 19, in panel 2 and 3.

Dreamer # 28 (illustrated by Xaveria)

In Preludes And Nocturnes, Dream battles John Dee in order to prevent the destruction of the dream world and to regain his stolen ruby. While battling, the effects are felt by all those who are sleeping, including this Dreamer. His sleep is filled with the darkest nightmares.

This Dreamer appears in Sandman # 7, on page 14, in panel 4.

Dead Man # 143 (illustrated by Lars Brown)

After the death of his beloved wife, Orpheus travels to the Underworld, hoping to reclaim his lost love.

As he moves further through the Underworld he begins to encounter the dead.

This Dead Man is one of the many that resides in the Underworld and encounters Orpheus when he stands before Lord Hades and Queen Persephone and implores them to return Eurydice to him.

He appears in The Sandman Special # 1, on page 31, in panel 2.

Folk From Across The River # 5 (illustrated by Max Rugers)

In the Desire story in Endless Nights, Kara was in love with the son of the chief of the village.

The Chief and a group of village elders tried to negotiate grazing rights, for amber and for the ransom of prisoners between their tribe and the folk from across the river, but negotiations went badly and ended with the death of the village chief.

Kara retrieves the song of the village chief and he assumes the role of leader of the village. He also marries Kara and spends the winter in the village.

In spring, Kara’s husband and a group of soldiers go to meet with the chiefs of the other villages.

One day, a group of men arrived at the village, asking for hospitality. These were the folk from across the river and they had killed Kara’s husband and brought his head to threaten and scare the women of the village.

Kara remained calm and served the men food and wine until the soldiers who were on wolf-watch returned and slaughtered the invaders.

This man is one of the folk from across the river.

He appears in the “What I’ve Tasted Of Desire: from Endless Nights, on page 16, in panel 6.

Citizen Of Baghdad # 27 (illustrated by Kai Martin)

In Baghdad, in the time of Haroun al Raschid, there were many wonders and splendors.

One such wonder was the market place and when al Raschid was restless he would go out at night, into the city of Baghdad, with this advisor, Jafar, and his executioner, Masrur, to explore the city.

They would disguise themselves as merchants and travel to the marketplace and would sample some of the foods and listen to stories told.

This man is one of the people in the marketplace.

This man can be seen in Sandman # 50, on page 7, in panel 1.

Book Release Party Guest # 6 (illustrated by Lars Brown)

When Richard Madoc’s book “And My Love She Gave Me Light” was released in May 1987 a book release party was held.

This woman was one of the people who attended the party. She is standing in the background near a group of people. She’s wearing a Pinhead jacket, which is a character created by Clive Barker, so she is clearly a fan of horror books.

This woman appears in Sandman # 17 on page 12, in panel 1.
